Fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches made with buttery bread, sweet cream cheese filling, and fresh strawberries. Perfectly crisp outside and gooey inside.
8 slices brioche or challah bread
4 ounce cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoon powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup strawberry jam
2 large eggs
3 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoon butter for frying
1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
2. Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread. Add sliced strawberries and jam. Top with remaining bread slices.
3. Whisk eggs and milk in a shallow dish to make the egg wash.
4. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
5. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
6. Remove and place on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Use brioche or challah for the best texture.
Don’t oversoak the bread—just a quick dip is enough.
Serve with cajeta, chocolate drizzle, or whipped cream.
