¾ cup white sugar

¼ cup water

1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

5 large eggs

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

2. Pour caramel into round baking dish and let cool.

3. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs one at a time.

4. Add condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Mix well.

5. Pour custard into caramel-lined dish.

6. Place dish in larger pan. Add hot water halfway up the sides.

7. Bake 50–60 mins, until center is just set.

8. Cool for 1 hour. Refrigerate overnight.

Use bain-marie for smooth texture.

Top with fruit or cajeta for variations.
