Ingredients

Scale

4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Pour the glaze evenly over the cod fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is opaque, flakes easily with a fork, and the glaze has caramelized slightly.
Remove from the oven, garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds, and serve hot.

Notes

Ensure the cod fillets are of similar thickness to guarantee even cooking. If you prefer, you can swap the honey for maple syrup for a slightly earthier sweetness. A squeeze of fresh lime juice right before serving helps brighten the flavors. Leftovers should be kept in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
