This homemade cherry limeade is a refreshing cherry lime drink made with fresh cherries, whole limes, water, and sugar. It comes together in just 15 minutes using a simple blender method. The cherries bring natural sweetness while the lime adds a bright citrus flavor. Straining creates a smooth finish, and serving it over ice makes it perfect for warm days or family gatherings.
3 cups cherries, pitted (fresh or frozen)
2 limes, quartered (peel on, pith removed)
6 cups water (divided)
1/2 – 3/4 cup sugar (or honey or preferred sweetener)
Ice
Garnish: cherries and lime slices
1. Combine cherries, quartered limes, sugar, and 2 cups of water in a blender. Add ice if desired.
2. Blend until completely smooth and fully pureed.
3. Place a fine mesh strainer over a large pitcher.
4. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer.
5. Press the pulp gently to extract all the juice.
6. Add the remaining 4 cups of water through the strainer into the pitcher and stir well.
7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
8. Serve over ice and garnish with cherries and lime slices.
Remove the white pith from the limes before blending to prevent bitterness.
