Ingredients

Scale

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
4 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup salsa
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper, to taste
10 small flour or corn tortillas
Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Place a tortilla on a flat surface and fill with a generous portion of the chicken mixture, adding cheddar cheese on top
Fold tortillas into taquitos and place seam-side down on a baking sheet
Brush tops with cooking spray or olive oil
Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and crispy
Let cool slightly before serving

Notes

Use pre-cooked chicken (rotisserie works well) for time savings
Baking achieves a healthier, flaky crust compared to frying
For extra crispiness, sprinkle a bit of baking powder on tortillas before filling
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days
Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness
