A simple, flavor-packed lasagna recipe with 3 cheeses, halal-compliant Italian sausage, and marinara sauce. Quick to make with bold taste, perfect for family meals or busy weeknights.
12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1 pound halal-certified Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
1 cup ricotta cheese, full-fat
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg, beaten
2 cups marinara sauce
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Drain and lay lasagna noodles flat on parchment paper
Combine ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/3 cup Parmesan, egg, half the parsley, and herbs/spices in a bowl
Spread 1/2 cup marinara in 9×13-inch baking dish
Place 3 noodle sheets on work surface, spoon 1/3 cup filling near the edge
Sprinkle 2 tbsp mozzarella and 1 tbsp Parmesan on each
Roll up tightly and place seam-side down in prepared dish
Repeat for remaining layers
Top with remaining marinara and cheeses
Bake 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden
Garnish with remaining parsley before serving
