Description
Soft, fruity strawberry brownies made with fresh purée and a Mexican-inspired twist. Optional creamy frosting and strawberry garnish.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 large egg
½ cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup fresh strawberry puree (or 1 tbsp flavoring)
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh strawberry slices (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line 8×8 baking dish with parchment.
2. Whisk flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, and vanilla, then add strawberry purée.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently. Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.
6. Beat cream cheese and butter, then add sugar, milk, and vanilla to make frosting.
7. Frost cooled brownies and garnish with fresh strawberries.
Notes
Avoid overmixing for a soft, tender texture.
Add freeze-dried strawberries for extra berry flavor.
Swap in gluten-free flour or vegan substitutes as needed.
Store frosted brownies in fridge for up to 1 week.
