Description

A fun and easy twist on tacos, these Mexican dessert tacos feature cinnamon-sugar shells filled with whipped cream, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of caramel or chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale

6 small flour tortillas

Vegetable oil for frying

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for cream)

1/2 cup cajeta or dulce de leche

1/2 cup chopped strawberries or mango

1/4 cup crushed cookies or coconut

Optional: melted chocolate, sprinkles, nuts

Instructions

1. Fry tortillas in hot oil until golden and bubbly. Drape over a spoon handle to shape. Coat in cinnamon-sugar mix.

2. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

3. Pipe or spoon cream into taco shells.

4. Add fruit and drizzle with cajeta or chocolate.

5. Sprinkle with crushed cookies or coconut and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served fresh to preserve shell crispness.

Use dairy-free alternatives for a vegan version.

Baked shells are a great lighter alternative.
