Tender, juicy crockpot chicken legs made with garlic, butter, and simple spices. Easy, hands-off slow cooker dinner recipe.
Ingredients
2 lb. Chicken Drumsticks
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1/3 cup Chicken Broth
1/4 cup Butter, diced
Instructions
1. Lay your chicken drumsticks on a clean surface. Pat them very dry.
2. In a bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and onion powder.
3. Rub the seasoning blend over all sides of the chicken.
4. Place the seasoned drumsticks into your slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
5. Pour chicken broth over and around the chicken. Top with diced butter and minced garlic.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
7. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F.
8. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
You can broil the drumsticks for 2–3 minutes after slow cooking for a crispy skin.
For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the rub.
