Description

Cajun shrimp and salmon served with garlic cream sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans—a bold and comforting dinner.


Ingredients

For the Cajun Shrimp and Salmon

  • 4 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Mashed Potatoes

  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Green Beans

 

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Boil potatoes until tender and mash with butter and milk.

2. Season and cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side.

3. Cook salmon 4-5 minutes per side until flaky.

4. Make sauce with butter, garlic, cream, broth, mustard, and spices.

5. Return seafood to sauce and simmer briefly.

6. Boil then sauté green beans with butter and garlic.

7. Serve everything together with sauce.


Notes

Do not overcook seafood.

Adjust spice level to taste.

Serve immediately for best texture.
